Franziska Leuenberger studied German, media studies and history at the universities of Bern, Zurich, Heidelberg and Vienna. In 2013 she completed her academic career with a doctorate on the role of media in relation to German-speaking minorities. Franziska Leuenberger was already actively involved in a variety of media and communications roles during her studies, including as an intern at regional broadcaster TeleBärn, as a PR assistant at the Museum Franz Gertsch, and in particular as a long-standing freelance journalist for the “Mittelland Zeitung”, a newspaper in the Langenthal/Solothurn region. Her love of linguistically and stylistically perfect prose also led to many years of freelance work as a proofreader and editor.
